How to Display/Add Yahoo! Messenger Online Presence Indicator on your Blog

Online presence allows people to see if you are currently online and using Yahoo! Messenger. To add online presence, you simply need to add some HTML to your web page.

If a Yahoo! Messenger user clicks your online presence, an instant message window will open for them so they can type you an instant message.

Option 1:

When clicked, that person will be redirected to Yahoo! WebMessenger Site and be prompted to Sign-In in their account, then will be able to give you an instant message.

Option 2:

When clicked, that person will be able to directly give you an instant message and all other features of Yahoo! Messenger IM, provided that they already have it installed in their computers.

More Options/Customization:

Just replace the value with your Yahoo! ID.

You can also choose from these types of images (10) to indicate your online presence. Just change the numeric value of t=0

If you are using the New XML Blogger Template and want to display it directly in your "About Me Widget", like mine here, just go to your Blogger Template > Edit HTML > and check the Expand Widget Template. Use you web browser's (e.g. Firefox) search function and find <data:displayname/>. Then, right after that, paste the code I gave above.

If you are using the Classic HTML Template, you can put the code anywhere you like.
